Safety First for Families
There’s nothing more frightening than turning around and realising your child isn’t there. Anyone who has experienced this will know how important it is to have safety systems in place, to help both parents and children become reunited as quickly as possible.
Because of this, Junction 32 has joined the national child safety initiative, Child Safe Zones. This is designed to help:
- Parents or guardians who lose a child
- Anyone finding a lost, injured or worried child
- A young child, who can look for the nearest orange balloon window sticker and ask a member of staff for help
- An older child or teenager who needs help
Look out for the window stickers
Brightly coloured window stickers are displayed in every store window which help provide shoppers with simple safety information and contact details should a child get lost. The emergency number displayed on the sticker puts worried parents or lost children directly in touch with the security team.
Wristbands
On entering the Village a wristband can be collected from Toyworld or Elle. The wristband is bright, waterproof and tough. It allows a parent/guardian to write a mobile number inside the band, so if a child is lost they can quickly become reunited.
If you lose a child
Should you lose a child at Junction 32, the advice is simple:
- Stay close to where you last saw them
- Look for the nearest sticker displayed on shop windows and doors
- Ring the number displayed
- Speak directly to the security team who will help you
